One of the toughest competitors throughout the 80’s and 90’s, Marty McSorley was known as a fearless defenceman for every team he played for. While mainly remembered for his physical presence, McSorley was a talented player, notching 359 points from the blueline over almost 1000 NHL games.
A two time Stanley Cup winner with the Edmonton Oilers, McSorley, along with Wayne Gretzky, was a part of the trade that shocked the hockey world, sending Gretzky along with a package of players, draft picks, and cash to the Los Angeles Kings.
Today, McSorley lives in California with his wife and three kids, where he is an active part of a number of charity initiatives.
